Surreal Art

Surreal Art, or Hippy Drug-Induced Art as I call it, has been with us since early 1900's. Salvador Dali gained notoriety for this (as well as his well maintained mustache) especially with his melting clocks painting which is formally known as Persistence of Memory. I love Dali and his eccentric art but the new breed of surreal artists have something to boast as well. The art they create are sicker, more perverted, and more twisted than ever. I'm also nuts for them.
If you are a fan of surrealism, a pervert, a hick who doesn't know what art is, or just a curious reader, check out beinArt which is a collective of present surreal artists and some of their works. My personal favorites are Mark Ryden, Carrie Ann Baade, Michael Hussar, and David Stoupakis. The site is definitely not work-friendly.
