A man, who was drunk, let his 14-year-old son drive them both home - the kid was also drunk.
James Vernon Holbert Jr., of Virginia faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced in May.
Hanover prosecutors said Holbert told police he'd been drinking too much, so he allowed his son to drive -- even though the 14-year-old had also been drinking alcohol that Holbert provided.
The car veered off a road last June and struck a tree, ejecting the boy. He was treated at the scene.
Newsnet5.com report the teen was charged with driving without a licence and driving after illegal consumption of alcohol.
