"Iglesia Ni Cristo" Will Grow Wings And Fly
January 30th 2007 05:12
Here's something home-brewed. Has anybody heard about "Iglesia Ni Cristo"? It's a religious organization founded in the Philippines by Felix Manalo in 1914. Okay, the term "founded" is wrong because they claim that it was founded by Jesus. It probably has a gazillion by now and it has spread in different parts of the world. Philippine politicians court them for their votes (all members vote candidates approved by Erano Manalo).
INC has a rival. They're called "Iglesia ng Dyos Kay Kristo Hesus". Yihaaa! These two groups fight like cats and dogs. Both have their own tv stations and mostly air shows which criticizes the "enemy". Great entertainment for boring tv days because of the expletives.
If you see a structure similar to this in your neighborhood
then that's them.
Some people say INC is a cult. Hmmm. I see their point. I even agree to some degree. (oooh that rhymes). I have nothing against INC. I know some people who belongs to the group. I just find it nuts that WHEN the world ends, all INC members will go inside the main church and it will rise up up up to heaven and they will be with Jesus.
Cool!

As far as heading to an INC chapel for judgment day, this is a new one. I never heard this teaching. Not all members will be with Jesus, because not all members practice the doctrine of the church. However, by the church's standards, not even the members qualify for admission to heaven because they don't follow every single doctrine, teaching, and commandment of the INC.
