Grilled Human

January 31st 2007 07:31
Nashville, Tenn. -- Hoping to prompt Nashvilles lunch crowd into realizing that whether fish, foul, or human, a corpse is a corpse, a naked, "charred" PETA member will slather herself with barbecue sauce while another PETA member "cooks" her on a charcoal grill downtown tomorrow.

Date: Wednesday, January 31
Time: 12 noon
Place: Intersection of Fourth Avenue N. and Church Street, Nashville

PETAs point? All animals are made of flesh, bone, and blood, just as humans are, and eating meat entails eating the corpse of an animal who was an individual with feelings, a family, and a distinct personality. In addition to the "human barbecue," PETA members will hold signs that read, "Meat Is Murder," and hand out vegetarian starter kits to curious passersby.

"People are understandably revolted by the idea of eating a human corpse, which is exactly why they should also lose their appetites at the thought of eating any animals corpseto smell them cooking, you cant tell the difference," says PETA campaign coordinator Mike Brazell.

Oh. I thought it was real grilling. I was about to prepare my bib and bbq utensils.
